Ackermann Steered Axle - Solid (No Suspension)
Our solid Ackermann unit serves the needs of customers wanting a trailer with true Ackermann principles but without the need for suspension.
Our solid Ackermann steered axles combine manoeuvrability with easy tracking and superior trailer stability, especially when cornering. They are particularly suitable for use at slow to medium speeds in off road situations such as airfields and factory sites.
Normally supplied in a set (as shown in the photograph), either as a pair of steering axles or with a front steering and rear fixed, straight-beam set.
Our solid Ackermann is manufactured using solid square bar for the main axle section with various sizes (38, 45, 50 and 60mm) dependant upon trailer load.
These axles can be supplied braked or unbraked using standard, auto-reverse or hydro/mechanical brakes.
