Rubber Suspension Axles
Our rubber suspension axles are a simple but extremely robust, easy to fit and highly effective assembly based on high density rubber which progressively compresses as load increases. They provide an active suspension system which has, integral to its design, a damping characteristic which affords the vehicle stability across a dynamic load spectrum. By having complete control of the rubber compound used within the units, we can engineer solutions for heavier duty loads in more compact spaces, the characteristics of which can be determined by dynamic testing and, when required, computer modelling.
Variations
Made to order to suit each customer's exact requirements, they are available:
- With or without stub axle.
- With or without hub.
- With or without standard, auto-reverse or hydraulic/mechanical brakes.
Suspension Technology
Our axles can be supplied utilising either rubber insert or semi bonded suspension technology:
- Our high-density rubber inserts (R-flex insert) offer exceptional value for money due to their simple, yet highly robust, construction.
- Our semi bonded rubber suspension units (R-flex semibond) offer all of the benefits of a full-fill construction whilst still being affordable.
The overall axle width and position of the fixing brackets on the beam are determined by the user’s specification.
